What and Where

OptiTrack is a high-precision motion tracking system used in various fields such as video game design, animation, virtual reality, robotics, and motion science. The system uses a series of cameras to capture the motion of objects with reflectors or active markers. This data is then processed to create a 3-D representation of the objects’ motion.

The optitrack vision system, consisting of 12 special high-performance cameras, has been installed in the MIR (Mechatronics & Industrial Robotics) laboratory at Marche Polytechnic University.

Why and to whom it is aimed

Our vision system is designed to help companies in researching and solving safety and ergonomic issues in settings where robots and people are present. With its high accuracy and reliability, our OptiTrack motion tracking system can detect the movements of objects with reflectors or active markers, providing accurate and detailed data on the activities performed by operators and robots. This data can be used to identify any safety or ergonomic issues and to develop customized solutions to improve the efficiency and safety of production processes.
