From 2-4 September 2024, our research group participated in the IEEE/ASME MESA Conference, an international event focused on the latest advancements in mechatronics, embedded systems, and automation.

Event Description

The conference featured several tracks such as AI and emerging technologies, advancements in robotics and automation, and smart sensors. Organized by Prof. Matteo Claudio Palpacelli (General Chair) and Prof. Giovanni Berselli (Local Chair), the event brought together researchers from around the world.

Our Contributions

We extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Matteo Claudio Palpacelli for his valuable contribution as General Chair of the event, which led to the presentation of over 120 papers.

We presented the following research papers:

  1. AI-Enabled Framework for Augmenting Upper Limb Rehabilitation With a Social Robot
  2. A Comparative Analysis on a Limited Image Dataset for Accurately Detecting Improperly Polished Surfaces for Industrial Applications
  3. Enhanced Human-Robot Collaboration through AI Tools and Collision Avoidance Control
  4. Collaborative robots in industrial manufacturing: a case study of tolerated assembly
  5. From Single to Dual-Arm Collaborative Robotic Assembly: A Case Study at I-Labs
  6. Collaborative Mobile Robotics for SMEs: A Case Study
  7. Design of a redundantly actuated desktop parallel kinematic machine for earthquake lab simulations
